RB45 Instructions


1. Program your radio so that your chosen gear switch is operating. Also your preferred brake control should be activated. Plug the nose steering servo into Rudder Servo socket on the RB45 and connect the nose steering servo control channel into Rudder input socket.
2. Connect a charged 2s 7.4v Li-Po to the RB45, Hold the LED/Button and with the Tx on, switch on the receiver. The light on the RB45 will start to flash confirming start of programming.
3. Place the retract switch in the retracted position ( gear up) and press the button once, the LED will flash twice
4. Place the retract switch in the gear down position and press the button once, the LED will flash three times-Now you are ready to program the brakes.
5. With your chosen brake control in the brakes off position press the button once, the LED will flash 4 times.
6. Put your chosen brake control in the full brake position and press the button once, the LED will flash 5 times.
7. With the nose steering servo neutral, place the gear switch in the retracted position and press the button once more to save the programming.

Note if you do not have wheel brakes, skip this section by just pressing the button three times until you see 5 flashes, then set the steering servo in the gear up position.

The system recognises the travel limits by the increased current at the end of each travel. It is important to keep the mechanism clean and free from grit that could jam the movement. It is important the shuttle has fully travelled to stop damage to the mechanism with landing loads.

NOTE The RB45 deactivates the nose steering servo and the brakes in the set (retracted position) to avoid steering loads and braking energy use.
