Dave took some time out of his busy schedule to teach lady pilot Claire Alley to fly.
Claire works for Traplet Publications and expressed an interest in learning to fly, such is her love for the hobby industry she works within. Having joined the BMFA, Claire mentioned to Dave she had yet to purchase a suitable training aircraft. Having seen various lady pilots in Germany and in the USA, Dave decided it would be good to promote the feminine interest in a male dominated world and decided to sponsor Claire with a Parkzone Cub. Motors & Rotors have sold plenty of these aircraft to raw beginners and have found them a fantastic training aircraft, proved emphatically when Claire’s first lessons on a blustery November day, model and pilot coped extremely well. Claires ultimate aim is to fly model turbines and Dave has promised to sponsor her a “pink” jet once a BMFA B Cert is attained.
